Biography

Monica Barni is a Professor in Educational Linguistics at the Universita` per Stranieri, Siena. Her research focuses mainly on issues of language policy in education, specifically in relation to immigrants, and in

purilingual societies. She publishes on the analysis of the impact of national and European language policies in educational contexts and of the conditions of plurilingualism and linguistic contact in Italy.
